Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
The Child Protection Case Manager will be responsible for implementing child protection case manage-ment programming in Syria, supported by the CP Officer with technical advice from the CP Specialist, This role involves assessing the needs of children at risk, developing and implementing case plans, providing support and advocacy for children and their families, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the well-being and protection of children in line with child protection minimum standards and case management principles.

Specific Responsibilities / Context:
1- Conduct assessments to identify children at risk of dropping out of school, child labor, child mar-riage, abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence, etc.
2- Receive cases referred by other Tdh animators, local partners, and agencies as per the Interagency Emergency Standard Operational Procedures for Prevention of and Response to.
3- Create an individual file for each case received and file all cases according to organizational prac-tice, using the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS).
4- Conduct initial assessment using adequate tools (assessment form and best interests assessment). During the interview and field visits, collect quantitative and qualitative information to analyze the sit-uation and needs in order to define the most appropriate responses.
5- Assess the cases need cash for protection and provide them the cash assistance.
6- Prioritize cases according to risk level and based on Tdh vulnerability criteria, supported by the CP Officer.
7- Develop individualized case plans for children in need of protection through the case management steps, supported by the CP Officer.
8- Provide child protection counseling, psychosocial support, referrals to specialized services for chil-dren and their families, and visits in the community and areas of intervention.
9- Monitor the progress of children under the case management program and adjust plans as neces-sary.
10- Follow up external referrals to other service providers to ensure timely responses and provision of appropriate support.
11- Conduct regular contacts/home visits of the selected beneficiaries to follow up on the agreed work plan and its progress and facilitate the good implementation of the work plan, in accordance with Tdh procedures.
12- Regularly monitor and support children and families through home visits, providing guidance, advice, and emotional support, community mediation, and referrals in accordance with the supervision of the CP Officer.
13- Ensure that progress is regularly reviewed in accordance with Tdh procedures.
14- Advocate for the rights, and best interests of children within the legal and social frameworks of Syr-ia.
15- Coordinate with NGOs, and community-based organizations to ensure comprehensive support and protection for children Identify the service providers and continuously update the referral pathway.
16- Provide beneficiaries with information about Tdh and other services available for beneficiaries in the area of operation.
17- Prepare regular reports on families supported and or referred; update family and individual files ac-cording to each case development (action plan and follow-up) in accordance with Tdh procedures.
18- Participate in case conferences, case consultations, and other meetings as required relating to case management.
19- Participate in supervision meetings with the CP Officer as required.
20- Bring to the attention of the CP Officer any areas of capacity building or support needed, and then to the CP Specialist.
21- Attend training/workshops etc. as identified on capacity building needs assessment, or as requested.
22- Weekly and Monthly reports and Databases are updated, followed by the CP Officer.
23- Anything else is requested by the direct manager.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING POLICY, SAFETY and SECURITY:
1- Knows and implements institutional policies on security, child protection, PSEA and Code of Con-duct, and fraud prevention; in their day-to-day work.
2- Commits to ensure the best implementation possible of the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) in her/his area, including participation in annual audits, and reviews and updates of the action plan.
3- Commits to inform the Country Representative and/or the National Safeguarding Focal Point and/or the Head of the MENA Region and to deal with any case of any allegations or possibility of trans-gression, even potential, of the CSP.


Qualifications
Education / Qualifications:
A university degree; preferably in Social Sciences, International Development, or any equivalent experience.

Experience:
Minimum two years of child protection experience especially in case man-agement in a similar position with international or national NGOs is pre-ferred.

Langues:
Arabic speaker and good skills in English.

IT Knowledge:
Familiar with usual IT tools.
