Responsibilities
Tamkeen Project aims to empower vulnerable adolescents and youth across multiple governorates by equipping them with the tools, skills, and services needed to thrive in educational, social, and economic spheres. Through non-formal education programs, vocational training, and life skills development, the project
enhances their capacity to actively participate in community-building and working life. By fostering innovation, promoting volunteerism, and providing safe, inclusive learning spaces, the project enables participants to contribute constructively to their communities while advancing their personal, educational, and professional aspirations.
The Project Officer is responsible for contributing to the overall organizational objectives by drawing the path that other project teams will take to achieve project goals. The incumbent will report directly to the Project Coordinator.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Project Coordinator in setting the Annual Work Plan and budget of the project and track financial issues related to the project team.
- Gather all data and information and prepare regular reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, and others) and ensure that project reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner and ready to be submitted to the Grants Officer.
- Support the Project Coordinator in analysing and following up the status of the project from the financial and program sides
- Coordinate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning team to plan, create, implement, analyse, and communicate monitoring and evaluation findings.
- Support in the identification, design and evaluation of key indicators for project interventions, in close collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team.
- Collaborate with the MERL team on data collection and management processes, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient data flow to support timely decision-making
- Ensure that the environmental compliance requirements of the project are met in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain documentation of project activities, lessons learned, and best practices, and share insights with relevant teams to improve program quality
- Support the Project Coordinator in preparing grant applications or proposals, as needed, by providing relevant project data, reports, and analyses.
- Conduct field visits and provide related brief reports when needed.
- Conduct day-to-day project tracking and coordinate with stakeholders to set project priorities and planning
- Follow up procurements liaising with Finance and Procurement Units.
- Conduct regular field visits when needed to assess the impact of initiatives in target areas and to ensure that project targets are achieved in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field.
- Three years of related working experience in project implementation.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Experience in financial reporting and budget reconciliation
- Knowledge of the principles of planning and project management.
- Knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and reporting processes.
- Good coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and computer skills.
