Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Selection

Coordinate IW recruitment in collaboration with hiring managers.
Draft and circulate calls for applications.
Support shortlisting, interviews, and selection processes.
Ensure recruitment is transparent, fair, and compliant with IRC policies and donor regulations.
Onboarding & Orientation

Facilitate onboarding and induction for new IWs.
Provide orientation on IRC policies, Code of Conduct (CoC), safeguarding, and security.
Ensure all required documents are collected and filed (contracts, IDs, tax/social security forms if applicable).
Contract & File Management

Draft IW contracts, extensions, and amendments.
Track contract start and end dates, ensuring timely follow-up for renewals or closures.
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files (physical and electronic).
Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with IRC requirements.
HR Administration, Payments & Compliance

Maintain IW database and trackers (recruitment, attendance, contracts, leaves, etc.).
Process IW payments in coordination with Finance and ensure timeliness and accuracy.
Prepare and follow up on IW final settlements in line with IRC policies and donor requirements.
Ensure adherence to IRC HR policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.
Share regular updates and reports with HR management and program teams.
Support audits and donor reviews by providing complete IW documentation.
Capacity Building & Support

Provide guidance to managers and field staff on IW policies and processes.
Conduct refresher sessions for IWs on HR policies, CoC, safeguarding, and reporting channels.
Act as focal point for IW-related HR inquiries.
Coordination & Communication

Liaise with programs, finance, and supply chain to ensure alignment of IW processes.
Ensure timely communication on IW recruitment, onboarding, and exits.
Support smooth coordination between HR and field teams.
And any other tasks requested from the direct supervisor

Qualifications
Required Experience/qualification/Skills:

At least 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in similar role
Previous experience in an emergency or conflict-afflicted setting is required.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

A commitment to IRC’s mission, vision, values and IRC Way – Professional Code of Conduct.
Credible written, presentation and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information effectively and solid experience providing training and staff development
Validated sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to handle complex situations diplomatically and to effective resolution.
Excellent management and interpersonal skills and a solid ability to promote harmonious/cohesive teamwork, in a cross-cultural context.
Validated ability to plan long-term, organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional patience.
Highly collaborative and resourceful; ability to establish positive working relationships with senior level management and all other partners to maximize cooperation and productivity.
Curiosity, a desire to continually learn and develop and a sense of humor is a must.
Analytical ability in creating effective solutions to complex matters while adhering to labor laws and internal policies.
Language/Travel:

English & Arabic are required
Travel: minimum 40% to field sites in Syria
