About us
ZOA has been working in Syria Response since 2014 and has been supporting Syrian refugees, internally displaced Syrians, and host communities in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Since September 2018, ZOA has been registered in Damascus, enabling it to manage and run its operations and projects from within the country. ZOA works through local partners and its own direct implementation, on a range of sectors from Shelter and NFI distribution to Education, WASH and Food Security and Livelihoods.
With a growing team, part of ZOA’s strategy in Syria is to develop sustainable Livelihoods and early recovery with communities affected by the conflict, partnering with the national NGOs and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) to scale up effective interventions and to pilot new approaches.
