Responsibilities
• Support the development of research methodologies, sampling strategies, and data-collection tools (surveys, KII guides, FGD guides).
• Conduct desk reviews, literature reviews, and secondary data analysis.
• Assist in drafting inception reports and evaluation matrices.
• Coordinate with field teams and local partners to organize KIIs, FGDs, surveys, and observations.
• Train enumerators on tools, ethical standards, and data-collection procedures.
• Conduct KIIs and FGDs directly when needed (with community members, staff, government representatives, private sector actors, etc.).
• Clean and validate quantitative datasets
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Prepare summaries, visualizations, tables, and thematic findings.
• Draft sections of reports (findings, analysis, case studies, recommendations).
• Support the preparation of presentations, dashboards, and annexes.
• Maintain regular communication with project teams, field teams, and stakeholders.
• Participate in internal meetings, donor meetings, and briefings.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks and clear documentation of progress.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business Administration/Statistics, (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum one year of experience in research, assessments, evaluations, monitoring & learning, or market analysis.
• Experience in writing reports is a must.
• Experience working with UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, research firms, or consulting companies is an advantage.
• Experience conducting fieldwork is desirable.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills (FGDs, KIIs, surveys, data cleaning, descriptive analysis).
• Ability to design tools for evaluations, assessments, and market studies.
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Ability to analyze data and present it in clear visual formats.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
