Responsibilities
- Contribute to define and update the CHVs strategy and related activities through the definition target population, campaigns, messages, activities, specific actions, etc.
- Support in assessing knowledge of the target group on a health risk and analyse the context (local culture, traditions, habits, health perception) to adapt health activities and support the social mapping (villages, populations, actors) and the service
mapping.
- Provide support in selecting and developing quality communication strategies towards the community planning information campaigns, including targets, methods, materials and goals in order to increase awareness among the targeted population according to the project needs

- Lead focus-group discussions and/or peer support group with target groups and organize health awareness sessions in order to ensure the adequacy, relevance,
broadcasting and full awareness of the messages, ensuring they are worded in a pedagogic manner
- Identify key actors (local authorities, local NGOs, traditional healers, formal or informal authorities) involved in prevention activities in order to support the dissemination of health information of the target population
- Ensure regular collaboration and coordination with the Medical Coordinator of INTERSOS and SARC branch reporting to the medical team any information linked to the health situation of the population and the patients to guarantee that the HP is part of medical activities and contributes to the medical objectives of the project
- Organize, train and supervise the CHVs team in terms of planning and organizing their work, supporting, evaluating and coaching of personnel, collecting reports and reporting the activities and regularly visiting communities
- Supervise CHVs team and their activities, in and outside health facilities, reporting difficulties and progress as well as adapting format and content when necessary
Qualifications
Education:
- Health worker or promotion-related studies or social worker
Professional experience:
- At least 1 year-long work experience in related jobs (health/hygiene promotion, social work)
Professional requirements:
- CHW training (done by MOH) is an asset
- Essential computer literacy
