Responsibilities
The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) is seeking to recruit Case Managers to work within its support centers to provide case management services for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), following a survivor-centered approach that ensures services are delivered safely, confidentially, and with dignity.

Azaz – Safira – Manbij – Aleppo
Position Description:
The Case Manager is responsible for providing case management services to survivors of gender-based violence in accordance with international humanitarian standards and the survivor-centered approach. The role aims to ensure that survivors’ needs are addressed safely and respectfully.
At least one Case Manager should be available in each support center. Preferably, the position should be filled by a female staff member. The caseload should not exceed 25 cases per Case Manager. Consideration will also be given to the needs of men and boys when determining the need for male Case Managers to ensure an inclusive and appropriate response for all groups.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Provision and Case Management
- Build a relationship of trust and safety with survivors.
- Apply global case management standards and best practices.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and avoid exposing beneficiaries to any additional risks.
Implement Case Management Steps
- Receive the survivor in a safe and confidential space.
- Explain rights, confidentiality principles, and obtain informed consent.
- Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment (health, psychosocial, protection, and safety).
- Develop a joint care plan with the survivor.
- Implement referrals and follow up with relevant service providers.
- Review and update the care plan when needed.
- Close the case according to established standards.
- Maintain and store case files and data securely (both paper and electronic).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of gender-based violence (GBV), its causes, and consequences.
- Knowledge of social norms and their impact on survivors’ decisions.
- Familiarity with available services and referral pathways.
- Understanding of health and justice systems and how to work within them.
- Knowledge of the survivor-centered approach.
- Strong understanding of case management processes and steps.
- Commitment to confidentiality and the principle of Do No Harm.
