Responsibilities
- Applies Forensic expertise in forensic anthropology and at times, as required, forensic archaeology, in line with the standards of relevant scientific discipline.
- Supports in the drafting of external and internal Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines.
- Supports in the design and delivery of training in a given area of expertise.
- Contributes to the assessment of local capacity, infrastructure and systems.
- Implemented administrative work of the forensic programme on time (complies with procedures and policies, Coordinates with relevant departments, conducts field missions in accordance with ICRC security rules, keeps files up to date at all times).
- Interprets from English to Arabic and vice versa to Forensic staff during external meetings with authorities and field visits and translate documents when applicable.
- Maintains regular contacts with relevant field stakeholders to facilitate the coordination and the smooth program implementation.
- Completes field trip and other reports as appropriate.
- Maintains an efficient filing and archiving system for documents for institutional memory.
- Maintain close contacts and communication with authorities or other relevant external interlocutors at various levels.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in forensic sciences, Forensic Medicine, archaeology, anthropology (forensic, biological, physical) or biological sciences relevant to forensic practice.
- At least 6 years’ experience in forensic practice, witness interview (human rights) investigations, medicolegal investigations, or interpretation of complex, multifactorial forensic case reports, (law enforcement).
- Proven experience in research and presentation of research outcomes is an asset.
- Proven experience in design and delivery of training is asset.
- Fluent command of English and Arabic.
- Computer proficiency: technological awareness, using different databases or software tools used in analysis and management of forensic casework.
