Responsibilities
• Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of ARFF vehicles, rescue equipment, and firefighting agents (foam, dry chemical, etc.).
• Ensure the implementation of training programs and competency assessments for all ARFF personnel in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage the ARFF category maintenance based on aircraft movements and ensure the airport’s rescue and firefighting category is communicated accurately.
• Oversee the replenishment and inventory management of critical emergency supplies and fire-retardant materials.
• Manage ARFF operations and ensure continuous readiness to respond to aircraft and airside emergencies.
• Develop and implement ARFF operational plans, procedures, and response protocols.
• Coordinate ARFF activities with Airside Operations, AOCC, terminal operations, and external emergency services.
• Act as the primary escalation and decision-making authority for ARFF-related incidents and emergencies.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, shift coverage, and deployment of ARFF resources.
• Oversee ARFF supervisory teams and ensure effective command structure during incidents.
• Review ARFF incident reports, drills, and exercises and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
• Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and coordination exercises.
• Monitor ARFF performance indicators and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping of ARFF activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ARFF operations and emergency response.
• Perform additional duties assigned by senior management within the scope of ARFF operations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering, Aviation Management, Emergency Management, or a related field.
• Professional firefighting or ARFF certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in firefighting, ARFF, or emergency response operations.
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of ICAO Annex 14 standards and ICAO Document 9137 (Airport Services Manual - Part 1) regarding ARFF requirements.
• Proficiency in managing complex emergency communication systems and command-and-control software.
• In-depth knowledge of ARFF operations, emergency response, and firefighting procedures.
• Ability to lead emergency response operations and manage high-risk situations.
• Strong coordination skills with internal and external emergency stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
