Qualifications
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
-Relevant university degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Rural Development, Development Studies, Economics, or other related fields.
-At least 5 years of professional experience in agriculture, food security, livelihoods, or rural development programs, with strong project management and capacity-building skills in humanitarian and development contexts. Experience with INGOs is an advantage.
-Sound knowledge of agricultural value chains, livelihood recovery interventions, climate-resilient agriculture, and community-based approaches.
-Good understanding of international donors procedures, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
-Experience in providing technical support and building the capacity of staff, local partners, farmers, cooperatives, and community groups.
-Strong analytical, coordination, writing, and reporting skills.
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
-Willingness and ability to provide remote technical support and training to local partner organizations.
-Experience in remote management and coordination with field teams and implementing partners.
-Ethics and values: demonstrate and safeguard ethics, transparency, and integrity.
-Development and innovation: demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
-Teamwork: ability to work effectively in multicultural and multi-ethnic environments and maintain strong working relationships with people from different backgrounds

Salary and Benefits
Duty station: Based in Rural Damascus with regular field visits to project locations across Syria and possible travel to Erbil for coordination and project-related meetings.
Duration of assignment: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project needs.
