Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Community Development, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in protection, gender-based violence programming, or community-based work within humanitarian or development organizations.
- Good knowledge of GBV concepts, protection principles, accountability to affected populations, and the Age, Gender, and Diversity (AGD) approach.
- Experience in designing and implementing awareness-raising, community mobilization, and facilitation activities, including workshops and group sessions.
- Ability to build positive relationships with local communities, community committees, and key stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prepare reports, document activities, and manage data accurately.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and digital work tools.
- Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken; English language skills are considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the duty station or able to access it regularly.

The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) is a Syrian non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2016 with the aim of promoting stability and peacebuilding in Syria. The organization implements integrated programs in the areas of governance, economic empowerment, social cohesion, and civic engagement, with a particular focus on the inclusion of women, youth, and marginalized groups.
