Responsibilities
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial assessment for and prepare data base for WASH Projects in the area of intervention.
• Conduct technical field assessments for boreholes, water tanks, water networks and sewage networks and prepare preliminary designs, sketches, and calculations .
• Prepare bills of quantities for assessed households selected for rehabilitation.
• Monitor daily progress and verify quantities and quality of executed works.
• Ensure that safety measures and engineering standards are followed on-site.
• Coordinate material delivery, storage, and usage with contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly site progress reports.
• Conduct technical assessments and provide accurate feedback on field challenges.
• Assist the Project Officer in verifying BoQs, drawings, and material lists.
• Support the MEAL team and external monitors during field visits and evaluations.
• Communicate any technical or logistical issues immediately to the Project Officer.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all site-related reports and photos.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Project Officer or Line Manager
Specific Vacancy Requirements
Skills
• Languages:
Arabic — Fluency (writing, reading, speaking). English — good (writing, reading, speaking).
• Computing: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Abilities:
Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methodologies and research design.
Strong reporting, communication, negotiating, facilitating, and presenting skills.
Time management, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, collaborative working style, and commitment to safeguarding, diversity, and inclusion.
