Responsibilities
Ensure that appropriate finance systems are maintained, and that all procedures and controls are
• implemented.
• Ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for and recorded in the ERP.
• Manage bank accounts and the reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Manage all external relations with the banks and HQ, for example, opening new bank accounts, closing bank accounts, getting POA from HQ.
• getting approvals from HQ for payments above specific limit before the payments are sent to the bank.
• Monitor cash-flow and ensure that sufficient funds are always available in bank.
• Ensures the payroll and payroll related transfers such as social security, tax on salaries, and other
• payments.
• Prepare the monthly financial accounting reports at the end of each month and submit them to the Finance Coordinator by designated deadline.
• Ensure the budget follow-up and budget forecast in coordination with the other departments
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and accounts to donors, as requested.
• Provide any other financial information, as requested, and respond to any other financial queries
• Liaise regularly with budget holders.
• Focal point for external audits, donor audits, and internal audits.
• Conduct capacity building training to the finance officers and finance assistants on the ERP.
• Assist in developing adequate systems to facilitate accurate recording and reporting of financial data and help other staff to understand and work with them.
• Do the monthly, mid-year, and annual reports to send to HQ. Review the transactions before the reports are sent to HQ.
• Provide support to the office in all other financial matters.
• Assist the Finance Coordinator to develop donor budgets, monitor budgets and performances, review
• donor reports and give guidance to the Finance Officers where necessary.
• Establish and agree on key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve
• performance against set goals in case of managerial position.
• Follow up with HQ for Saga parameters and updating the parameters in the bank books and cash books.
• Prepare the monthly reports and send to the concerned parties.
• Liaise with HQ in the absence of the finance coordinator.
• Manage the EUR, and USD cashboxes.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the non-disclosure of any information whatsoever relating to the
• practices and business of SIF, acquired in the course of duty, to any other person or organization without authority, except in the normal execution of duty
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Qualifications
• Minimum of BA. CMA and/or CPA and/or MBA is a PLUS
• Experience in senior finance positions, preferably with INGOs
• Significant experience in or knowledge of non-profit accounting and finance.

and non-finance managers

own, in partnership with SIF Management, the responsibility for finance
- Multi-tasking with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, successful track record in setting priorities, organization and

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, Arabic & English

- Skills in examining, developing, re-engineering, and recommending financial policies and procedures
Salary and Benefits
