Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive spare parts inventory strategy to support plant maintenance and reliability.
• Manage MRO and spare parts master data in SAP/CMMS, including part numbers, descriptions, min/max levels, and BOMs.
• Identify critical spares and establish stocking strategies to minimize downtime risk.
• Coordinate with maintenance planners, reliability engineers, and technicians to understand part needs and failure history.
• Drive inventory optimization to reduce carrying costs while maintaining high service levels.
• Source and expedite parts as needed, working with suppliers and the purchasing team.
• Support equipment obsolescence planning and alternate part identification.
• Lead root cause analysis on parts availability issues and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance improvement initiatives.
• Track and report key spare parts KPIs, including stockouts, inventory turns, and service levels.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in spare parts planning, MRO inventory, or maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP PM/MM and CMMS systems strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and criticality analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and procurement.
• Understanding of food/beverage manufacturing equipment preferred.
