Responsibilities
- Plans and Implements protection activities and projects such as field missions, assessments, defining objectives, identifying interlocutors, analysing information, and reporting, under the supervision of the line manager.
- Develops and maintains contact with the authorities, National Society branches, the local population, suppliers, etc.
- Collects, documents, and analyses protection-related information while ensuring confidentiality, and information management.
- Monitors and analyses protection risks affecting individuals and communities, including patterns of violence, threats, vulnerabilities and their consequences.
- Contributes to the implementation of Restoring Family Links (RFL) activities, including supporting people separated or without news of family members due to conflict.
- Maintains regular engagement with affected individuals and communities, ensuring that their perspectives, priorities and coping mechanisms inform ICRC analysis and operational responses.
- Develops and maintains a network of relevant interlocutors, including local authorities, community representatives, civil society actors, Syrian Arab Red Crescent branches and other stakeholders, to strengthen understanding of the environment and facilitate protection activities.
- Contributes to clear protection reports, analyses and operational recommendations, and contributes to planning, monitoring, evaluation and institutional reporting exercises.
- Ensures accurate and timely information management, filing and archiving, safeguarding sensitive protection information and contributing to institutional memory.
Qualifications
- University degree or relevant professional experience.
- 3-5 years’ previous professional experiences, for instance in the field of social/political/economic science or similar
- Excellent command of English.
- Computer literacy.
