Responsibilities
1. Creating Oriental-inspired pastry recipes, Developing and innovating Oriental pastry recipes, and incorporating traditional flavors, techniques, and ingredients.
2. Menu planning, Collaborate with the culinary team to design and update the pastry menu, ensuring a diverse selection of Oriental pastries.
3. Pastry production, Oversee the production of Oriental pastries, ensuring high-quality standards, consistency, and adherence to food safety regulations.
4. Ingredient sourcing, Identifying and sourcing authentic Oriental ingredients required for pastry production, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring ingredient quality.
5. Pastry presentation, Ensure that Oriental pastries are visually appealing, paying attention to plating techniques, garnishes, and overall presentation.
6. Staff training, Train and mentor pastry team members on Oriental pastry techniques, recipes, and presentations, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
7. Quality control, Implement quality control measures to maintain the taste, texture, and overall quality of Oriental pastries, conducting regular taste tests and evaluations.
8. Cost management, Monitor and control pastry production costs, including ingredient usage, portion control, and waste reduction, while maintaining high-quality standards.
9. Collaborate with customers to customize Oriental pastries for special events, dietary restrictions, or specific cultural preferences.
10. Stay updated with current trends, techniques, and flavors in Oriental pastry-making, continuously researching and experimenting to bring new and exciting creations to the menu.
