Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations by auditing disbursement orders, cash handling, prepare financial and tax data, and generating financial reports. This role also involves conducting internal audits to assess financial controls and focusing on risk management and continuous improvement.
1. Prepare and follow up on financial and tax data related to government departments and the Central Bank, ensuring accurate reporting for compliance.
2. Audit disbursement orders to maintain accuracy and meet financial regulations.
3. Coordinate with payroll department to prepare cash for wages, salaries, bonuses, and assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
4. Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, policies, and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
5. Prepare periodic financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, along with any additional reports requested by management

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within financial auditing
• Professional certification (Certified Internal Auditor, • Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 3+ years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within financial auditing
