Responsibilities
1.Driving:
- Adjust the vehicle speed to the road conditions and traffic regulation in force in Syria.
In general, the driving speed limits are the following
- 60 km/h in the town center.
- 70km/h on dust roads.
- 120 km/h on highways
- Drive with consideration for the safety of the passengers, the load and the mechanic state of the vehicle.
- Driving must be made in respect of the crossed populations, while acting with courtesy in particular towards the pedestrians.
- Remain polite and courteous at all times, driver represent organization and therefore hold part of the responsibility for its image.
- Is responsible for loading and unloading his vehicle.

2.Security:
- To check the security situation of his final destination with the Security Officer prior moving.
- Inform both his Supervisor & Security Officer at organization immediately in case of accident and any incident concerning security.
- The port of the belt is obligatory for the driver and the passengers sitting on the passenger seat as well as back seats.
Is personally responsible for the application of this rule.
The driver cannot start his vehicle without checking the application of this rule beforehand.
- The driver is not authorized to use his mobile phone when driving and must park the vehicle in a safe place first.
- Before departure, make sure to know the road to reach the final destination.
Must inform his Supervisor for any movement (when arriving/departing both office/final destination.

3.Safety:
- Responsible for the safety of the goods and passenger(s) who are on board.
- Driver is responsible of the safety of the passengers when driving
- Must be able to facilitate the relationships with the local authorities. Its behavior must be irreproachable and in all cases and without any aggressiveness towards the passengers or the people met on his way.

4.Vehicle maintenance:
- Proceeds to the regular daily tests on the vehicle (fluids, pressure of tires, fuel, lights, breaks)
- Tank filling must be done each time the main tank goes under 1/4th. Tank filling must be done each Thursday pm.
- Diagnoses and reports to his Supervisor any malfunction on his vehicle.
- Any maintenance operation will be carried under the supervision of his Supervisor.
- In the event of immobilization of the vehicle in a garage, remains permanently at proximity and ensures the complete and correct realization of all repairs. Must also ensure no original part of the vehicle is stolen.
- Is responsible for the cleaning of its vehicle.
- Body, interior and external, mechanical parts must be maintained in a perfect state of cleanliness.
5.Documentation
- Is personally responsible for filling out the Log book in his vehicle. The driver must present the logbook after each movement to the team leader / passenger and ask for signature.
Any journey unjustified will be sanctioned.
- To indicate the plate number and mileage in the fuel receipt when refilling to the gas station
- Driver should fill out the weekly check document and report information on the weekly vehicle checkup form.
- Is responsible for making sure the vehicle’s official documents are present in the vehicle (insurance…) Any document missing will be considered the responsibility of the last driver who drove the car.

Qualifications
- High school certificate
- Two years experience minimum as a driver in a private company or with an international non-organization
- Have a valid driving license
- Basic English level (able to write in the logbook and to speak)
- Fluent in Arabic.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
IT IS FORBIDDEN AND PUNISHABLE:
- To transport non-IMC staff or goods without permission by an authorized staff Supervisor
- To transport more people than the number of seats in the vehicle
-To drive without having a specific duty notified by an authorized IMC staff Supervisor
- To allow access to the vehicle to weapons or any kind of material which is not authorized.
- To drive in a drunkenness state or under any other drug
- The misuse or diversion of material
- Breach of confidentiality or principles of IMC.
