Responsibilities
The initiative is part of AVSI Foundation’s broader economic support and social inclusion program for youth in Syria. With support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), AVSI is implementing the project “Rotta di Coesione: sui passi di Sant’Anania, costruire percorsi di sviluppo e dialogo per comunità inclusive e pacifiche” (AID_012970-01-2)
Ensure all training activities comply with AVSI’s Code of Conduct (CoC), Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) policies, safeguarding standards, and accountability mechanisms.
Deliver high-quality training sessions in Hospitality, Local Craftsmanship, or Tourism, ensuring alignment with the project’s curriculum and labor market needs.
Adapt training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and ensure participant engagement.
Support fellow VT Coaches in their respective training sessions when needed.
Attend a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) led by the technical expert who developed the curriculum for each vocational sector.
Track attendance, progress, and engagement of participants, ensuring timely interventions for those at risk of dropping out.
Provide individual mentorship and career guidance to beneficiaries to enhance their confidence and job readiness.
Participate in weekly coordination meetings to report on progress, discuss challenges, and contribute to future planning.
Submit monthly reports, including success stories, challenges faced, and recommendations for program improvement.
Assist beneficiaries in developing CVs, preparing for interviews, and accessing job placement opportunities.
Engage with businesses, employers, and industry professionals to facilitate internships, apprenticeships, or employment pathways.
Ensure the implementation of the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) and collaborate with the MEAL department to provide timely and appropriate responses to complaints and feedback.
Ensure the delivery of means of verification, including photos, beneficiary consent forms, success stories, and case studies.
Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the dignity and privacy of participants throughout all interventions, ensuring compliance with AVSI’s protection mainstreaming principles.
Support additional tasks as needed based on project requirements, such as data entry on Activity Info

Qualifications
Academic degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Handicrafts and Artisan Studies, or another field relevant to the TVET sectors covered under the program.
Specialized training or certification in vocational training, career coaching, or livelihoods is an asset.
At least 2 years of experience in vocational training, technical education, career coaching, or capacity-building programs.
Prior experience working with youth-focused training programs in humanitarian or development settings is desirable.
Experience in one of the three fields (Hospitality, Local Craftsmanship, or Tourism) is required.
Specialized training or certification in vocational training, career coaching, or livelihoods is an asset.
At least 2 years of experience in vocational training, technical education, career coaching, or capacity-building programs.

Proficiency in Arabic (required); English is an asset.
Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data collection tools.
