Responsibilities
DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
- Carry out tasks within guidelines laid down by managers/supervisors.
- Tasks are usually routine but will require the use of initiative and/or basic planning.
- Responsible for the proper use of equipment by others, with due regard to health - safety standards and guidelines
- Required to gather and give information to supervisors and managers.
- Contribute to improvements in processes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Escort field trips as per the Security management plan.
- Monitor, track and log the movement of all Oxfam related trips.
- Support the hub security officer in developing and updating the SRA (Security Risk Analysis)
- Deliver safety and security induction and briefing to field teams.
- Other duties as specified from time to time.
- Prepare Situational and adhoc report.


Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree holder with minimum of 2 years- experience in S&S in the Humanitarian sector, or
- High secondary education with 3 years- experience in the field of Safety - Security in the Humanitarian
- sector.
- Experience in facilitating and escorting field trips in accordance with security protocols and safety
- management plans.
- Practical experience in conducting field assessments.
- Previous experience in facilitating awareness session.
- Ability to collect data and create reports.
- Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
- Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic
- Team-working skills.
- Good competency in Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
- Ability to work with others to develop vision into strategy and communicate and influence this to a
- wider audience.
- Ability to create the environment to enable others to achieve their objectives and to be able to
- develop their skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of Syria context in terms of its political, economic and social trends plus a good
understanding of safety and security measures/protocols.


Desirable
- Previous work experience in the same field of S&S with INGOs is preferable.
- Previous knowledge in using maps applications
