Responsibilities
• Represent the ICRC mandate and its operations to a variety of audiences during field trips, campaigns, and events.
• Participate in planning, implementation and monitoring of the ICRC relief and livelihood programs in the assigned area.
• Assess the humanitarian situation and needs, particularly in the field of economic security, emergencies, livelihoods of the affected population.
• Establish and maintain regular coordination with the relevant humanitarian and other actors.
• Participate actively in the development of strategies, plans, project proposals and programs linked with relief activities.
• Ensure an effective collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branches in general and in particular the Deir Ezzor governorate.
• Plan and organize field visits for assessment of relief, livelihood needs, and monitoring of project activities.
• Generate statistical and narrative reports as required.
• Provides administrative support and translate from English to Arabic and vice-versa.

Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Economy.
• Very good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Computer skills (proficiency in MS Office).
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar field of activity.
• Good presentation and reporting skills.
• Very good knowledge within the assigned geographical area.

Purpose & Scope of the Role:

The Economic Security Generalist plans, implements and monitors the ICRC’s economic security programs including relief distributions of food parcels, essential household items, cash-based assistance, livelihood projects, and support to collective infrastructures in line with the country strategy and under the supervision and guidance of their hierarchical superior.
