Responsibilities
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

Support National Director in his tasks, especially in strategic planning, advocacy, cooperation with the Board, communication and supervising the Program support functions, managing specific crisis situations
Support National Director in his other tasks if this is requested by the National Director,
• Perform all tasks and responsibility of National director defined by the National Director JD, Statute and other national policies and procedures in case of ND absence or inability to perform tasks.
All tasks delegated by the ND among the area of accountability, and based on clear communication and mutual agreement.

Operational Effectiveness of Programme Support functions:

Ensure the operational effectiveness of all program support functions (HROD, FDC, ICT, Procurement, Safety and Security, Emergency Response Projects).
Ensure the effective and sustainable management of the Program Support Functions, supporting the Functions Heads strategically.
Support of ND in building the human capacity of the Member Association to ensure long-term growth and stability.
Line manage the Directors/managers of all program support functions (HROD, FDC, ICT, Procurement, Safety and Security), ensuring clarity on expectations and performance management and open and constructive two-way communications.
Ensure that Board and National Director receive reports and analysis needed from programme support functions, for strategic and operational decision-making.

Child Safeguarding
Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy and Regulation principles, as well as adult safeguarding and asset protection.
Responsible for reporting any misconduct incident that s/he has become aware of (child, youth, adult, assets) to the respective incident management team within 24 hours or as soon as possible.
Responsible for reporting allegations of defined misconduct in the areas of child safeguarding, adult safeguarding and asset protection by using any available reporting channels.
Reports must be made whenever you know or suspect that an incident of misconduct has occurred.
Failure to report may result in disciplinary actions against the respective staff member of SOS Children Villages who failed to report the alleged incident.

Qualifications
-University degree in business administration, education, social science discipline or other relevant
-Minimum 5 years leadership experience at a senior management/executive level in a larger or complex organisation or management of larger projects
-Prior experience in one or more of the following functional areas: fundraising, marketing, human resources, finance/budgeting, social services provision, community development, NGO project management
-English language fluency in addition to the national language
-Understanding and usage of ICT and virtual collaboration in daily business
-Readiness to travel nationally and internationally as required
