Responsibilities
The Enumerator will support data collection through field visits or phone calls, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely information that is gathered from households, communities, and key informants.
Data Collection:
- Conduct household surveys, interviews, focus group discussions
(FGDs), and key informant interviews (KIIs) using INTERSOS
assessment tools.
- Ensure confidentiality, dignity, and ethical standards are
maintained, especially for sensitive topics (e.g., protection
cases).
- Accurately record responses using digital (e.g., Kobo, Google
Forms) or paper-based tools.
- Verify collected data for completeness and consistency before
submission.
- Participate in debriefing sessions to discuss findings and
challenges.
Compliance & Ethics
- Strictly adhere to the “Do No Harm”
principle and protection
guidelines.
- Obtain informed consent before interviews and capturing photos.
- Support in the referral process for individuals in need (e.g.,
health, protection services) by tracking records and reporting
to management.
Field Coordination:
- Work closely with community leaders, local authorities, and
other stakeholders
to facilitate access and maintain a good relationship with the
community members.
- Identify and report any challenges (security, accessibility,
community acceptance, respondent availability).

- Minimum secondary education degree (a degree in social
sciences, statistics, or a related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in data collection (surveys, assessments)
in the humanitarian field.
- Familiarity with health, protection, education, and livelihood
sectors.
