Responsibilities
-Assists the Forensic Delegate, Manager or Expert in coordinating relevant information for the search for and identification missing persons’ process.
-Ensures each case is duly processed, updated and followed up, including providing input/advice on actions to be taken by authorities, National Society and/or teams in ICRC structures.
-Maintains regular contacts and communication with authorities and relevant field stakeholders for smooth program implementation.
-Supports the Forensic Delegate, Manager or Expert in updating procedures and protocols related to the forensic activities.
-Ensures quality assurance and control to the process of information management related to search for and identification of missing persons.
-Conducts research on the judicial and medico-legal systems as it pertains to missing and deceased persons to enhance understanding and analysis of the context.
-Conducts/participates in relevant meetings, briefings, training sessions and workshops internally and externally.
-Lead on the organization of event (training, workshops, field visit) in terms of planning, logistics, material, invitations.
-Knows, applies and complies with all the administrative procedures and policies related to their role, including finance, human resources, reporting, and budget monitoring.
-Interprets accurately from English to Arabic language and vice versa for documents and during field visits.
-Forensic caseload data management - as required.
-Ensures that data is managed confidentially and in compliance with Data Protection rules

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in forensic sciences, Data Analytical Sciences, Criminology, Information Analysis, Intelligence Analysis or other relevant university studies (criminal law, IHL/IHRL, social sciences or equivalent law enforcement attested education). Qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree
-At least 6 years’ experience in forensic related practice, witness interview, (human rights) investigations, medicolegal institutions or IO, NGO such as Interpol, CMP, ICMP.
-Experience in the field of missing persons investigations; Disaster Victim Identification and/or Case management in human Identification is an advantage
-Fluent command of Arabic and English
-Computer proficiency.
