Responsibilities
Program Development
-Support the Syria Office in positioning with potential donors/partners
- Support Map and cultivate strategic relationships with potential donors and partners in Syria
- Participate in the development of concept notes, proposals, grant reports, narratives and financial reports to private and institutional donors to seek medium to large multi-year funding opportunities for integrated
sustainable programming.
- Share all grant reports with the technical and general supervisor for review 72 hours before deadlines.
- Participate in the development and management of the proposal and report development calendar
- Support the daily implementation of activities across Nutrition, Education, Health, and MHPSS sectors.
- Ensure adherence to project work plans, timelines, and targets.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, provide technical support, and assess community needs.
- Review budgets that are part of proposals to ensure reasonable, allowable, and allocable costs, and
congruence with the program narrative.
- Participate in review and development of annual Business Development and Operational Plans, working
closely with colleagues in Syria, the regional office, and HQ Programs.
Program Administration
- Coordinate new grant-funded program start-up (kickoff meeting, compliance tracker, etc.) in coordination
with Programs and Operations colleagues in Syria, the Regional Office, and Headquarters, ensuring that Syria has
all the necessary knowledge and tools required to manage programs, in compliance with donor regulations.
- Monitor project progress through monthly and quarterly review of internal project management tools
indicator tracking tables, financial pipelines, M&E reporting, work plans, compliance trackers, etc.
- Support Programs, Finance, and Operations in the management and monitoring of partners (grantees and subgrantees),
including review of reports and participation in progress review meetings, as well as support for
delivery of capacity-building for partners.
- Participate in the partners' due diligence and vetting
- Support HQ and the Syria office in preparation for internal/external audits
- Prepare internal and external reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) according to donor and organizational
requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, beneficiaries, and achievements.
- Contribute to the development of case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.
Compliance
- Ensure all project activities are compliant with donor regulations, humanitarian principles, and protection
standards.
- Promote the mainstreaming of gender, protection, inclusion, and accountability to affected populations
- Support the integration of MHPSS and safeguarding across all program activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
-University degree in Public Health, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
-At least two years of relevant work experience in program management, Operations, Grants, and Partnerships.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including drafting project proposals and reports.
-Prior knowledge of donors and experience with regulations of major donor agencies such as USAID, U.S.
Department of State, SRTF, EU, and GIZ are preferred

Specific Vacancy Requirements
-Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic. Kurdish is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
The salary will be defined according to the SAMS Syria Office salary scale.
