Responsibilities
• Oversee daily project activities—trainings, awareness campaigns, and events—ensuring timely and effective implementation.
• Coordinate with CSOs, election bodies, and community stakeholders to foster inclusive local engagement.
• Supervise field teams and support logistics, operations, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Track progress, identify challenges, and contribute to field-level problem solving.
• Ensure timely, accurate data collection in coordination with M&E and admin teams.
• Uphold SSU’s standards for safeguarding, transparency, and compliance.
• Coordinate with CSOs, election bodies, and community stakeholders to foster inclusive local engagement.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating field activities, ideally in governance, civic engagement, or election-related projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex tasks, resolve challenges, and deliver results under pressure.
• In-depth understanding of local contexts in Aleppo or Damascus, with hands-on experience working alongside civil society actors.
• Fluent in Arabic; English is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong commitment to inclusive and accountable practices.
• Proven ability to manage complex tasks, resolve challenges, and deliver results under pressure.
• In-depth understanding of local contexts in Aleppo or Damascus, with hands-on experience working alongside civil society actors.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
SSU is hiring two Field Coordinators (one in Aleppo, one in Damascus) to oversee local implementation of the Rased Project, which focuses on civic education, electoral observation, and institutional capacity-building. The Field Coordinators will manage field activities, coordinate with civil society partners, support trainings and events, and ensure the smooth, timely, and compliant delivery of project outputs in their respective regions.
