Responsibilities
Proposal Development: Supports researchers by identifying funding opportunities and ensuring applications are complete and compliant with funder guidelines.
Budget Creation: Develops and reviews detailed project budgets, calculating costs for personnel, equipment, and indirect (F&A) expenses.
Award Setup & Monitoring: Establishes new award accounts in financial systems and tracks ongoing spending to ensure it aligns with the approved budget.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensures all activities adhere to funder, institutional, and government regulations, and prepares required financial and technical reports.
Liaison & Training: Serves as the central point of contact between project teams, administration, and sponsors, and trains faculty and staff on grant policies.
Subcontract Management: Oversees any agreements with partner organizations, monitoring their progress and reviewing their financial reports.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Public Administration, or related field
2-4 years of experience in grants management, research administration, or financial compliance
Master's degree or relevant certification (CRA, CGMS, GPC) preferred
Core Competencies
Knowledge of full grant lifecycle (pre- and post-award)
Experience developing and monitoring complex budgets
Familiarity with donor regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in MS Excel and grant management systems
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workload
Collaborative problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills
