Responsibilities
1. Develop a comprehensive technical/construction project monitoring system and ensure strict compliance by all parties working on-site.
2. Supervise work progress, collect inputs, prepare internal reports for payment processing, and conduct joint site verification visits.
3. Ensure all due diligence steps are followed according to recommendations and guidelines from IOM and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
4. Maintain accurate records of construction inspections, quality audits, and actual quantities. Ensure drawings are up to date, and variations and addendums are issued correctly.
5. Coordinate with relevant government authorities, engineers, and partners throughout the project under the supervision of the Emergency Operaations Officer to ensure the planned construction activities align with project plans.
6. Report on technical issues and completed work, and submit progress reports as required.
7. Provide timely reports to the Emergency Operations Officer.
8. Conduct daily inspections of ongoing works on-site (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical).
9. Review materials with contractors on-site prior to installation (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical,).
10. Ensure implementation of general safety regulations on-site.
11. Review detailed project drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
12. Review reports, including technical reports, payment reports, and weekly and monthly progress reports.
13. Travel frequently to project sites as needed.
14. Inspect and evaluate projects to ensure compliance with technical specifications and engineering standards.
15. Review tender documents for projects according to required standards and specifications.
16. Perform quantity take-offs accurately for civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical works.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor degree from an accredited academic institution in architucure or civil engineering.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant professional experience as an engineer/architect and civil and structural
- 4 to 5 years of previous experience in contracting, renovation, maintenance, and construction work in Syria.
Languages:
fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written).
Education:
Bachelor degree from an accredited academic institution in architucure or civil engineering.
