Responsibilities
General Role
The Mobile Protection Officer is responsible for providing protection services through mobile outreach activities within targeted communities. The role focuses on identifying vulnerable individuals, assessing protection needs, facilitating referrals to appropriate services, and ensuring beneficiaries receive timely and appropriate support. The officer also contributes to strengthening community protection mechanisms and maintaining effective coordination with relevant service providers.

Work Locations: Azaz – Safira – Manbij – Aleppo

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and mapping of intervention areas within the operational scope of the community center.
- Facilitate referrals and follow-up to connect beneficiaries with appropriate services based on individualized intervention plans developed in collaboration with the beneficiary. Services may include psychosocial support activities, social and creative activities, educational services, specialized services, and basic services.
- Identify beneficiaries experiencing or at risk of psychological or protection-related concerns, and schedule assessments based on priority levels.
- Conduct comprehensive protection and psychosocial assessments for referred or identified beneficiaries, with follow-up assessments when necessary.
- Develop and regularly update a community service mapping of available services within the area of operation to ensure effective referral pathways.
- Monitor and evaluate intervention plans and outcomes, adjusting support plans based on assessment results and beneficiary needs.
- Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and ethical standards are strictly maintained, including safeguarding beneficiaries’ information and case files.
- Prepare and submit timely reports in accordance with organizational reporting requirements.
- Maintain proper archiving of all activity reports, assessments, and relevant documentation in both hard copy and electronic formats.
- Prepare activity reports and updates as required.
- Participate in relevant training sessions, coordination meetings, and capacity-building activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Counseling, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous experience in protection, psychosocial support, or related humanitarian programming is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic and challenging environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and case management skills.
