Responsibilities
Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities
A. Monitoring and Data Collection
•
Support the development and operationalization of the project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework aligned with the project logframe.
•
Assist in tracking project indicators related to:
o
midwifery workforce strengthening
o
training activities
o
service delivery expansion
o
midwifery-led care models.
•
Support the development and application of standardized data collection tools for project activities.
•
Coordinate regular data collection from implementing partners and health facilities.
•
Ensure data is disaggregated by age, gender, and location where relevant.
B. Data Management and Analysis
•
Compile, clean, and validate monitoring data received from partners and field teams.
•
Maintain project monitoring databases and ensure data accuracy.
•
Conduct basic data analysis to track project progress against targets.
•
Support visualization of key indicators through dashboards, charts, and summary tables.
•
Identify data gaps and follow up with partners for clarification or corrections.
C. Reporting and Documentation
•
Contribute to preparation of:
o
monthly monitoring summaries
o
quarterly project reports
o
donor progress reports.
•
Support documentation of project achievements, lessons learned, and success stories.
•
Assist the project team in preparing evidence-based materials for advocacy and communication.
•
Support preparation of briefing notes and technical documentation related to project progress.

D. Field Monitoring and Verification
•
Participate in monitoring visits to project sites, including supported health facilities and partner organizations.
•
Verify implementation of project activities and reported outputs.
•
Collect feedback from midwives, health workers, and beneficiaries.
•
Support documentation of field observations and recommendations.
E. Evaluation and Learning
•
Support preparation of mid-term and end-of-project evaluations.
•
Assist with organizing data collection activities for project assessments.
•
Support development of learning products highlighting project innovations and good practices.
•
Facilitate internal learning sessions to share monitoring findings with the project team and partners.
F. Accountability and Feedback Mechanisms
•
Support the establishment of beneficiary feedback mechanisms to ensure accountability.
•
Assist in collecting and documenting feedback from midwives, health workers, and community members.
•
Ensure feedback is communicated to the project team and used to improve programme implementation.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
•
Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following fields but not limited:
o
Public Health
o
Statistics
o
Monitoring and Evaluation
o
Social Sciences
o
Development Studies
o
Other equivalent certificate
A postgraduate qualification in monitoring and evaluation or public health is an asset.
Professional Experience
•
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of development or humanitarian programmes.
•
Experience supporting health or SRH programmes is an advantage.
•
Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or international development organizations is desirable.
•
Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Technical Skills
•
Strong skills in data management and analysis.
•
Proficiency in Excel and basic data visualization tools.
•
Familiarity with monitoring frameworks and indicator tracking.
•
Ability to conduct field monitoring visits and verification activities.
•
Strong documentation and report writing skills.
Languages
•
Fluency in Arabic (required)
•
Good working knowledge of English (required)
