Responsibilities
- Deliver the planned Mental Health and Psychological Support services in the designated area and contribute to the development and assessment of the activities.
- Develops, implements and follows up on MHPSS activities at local and national level.
- Implements MHPSS activities directly through individual consultations or group support meetings.
- Organizes referral of beneficiaries and performs case follow-up.
-Complying with ICRC standards, sets up culturally and context-appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools and ensures regular data collection. Develops and maintains contacts with health authorities, academia, technical advisers from other organizations, etc. as necessary.
- Creates and maintains direct links with MHPSS programme beneficiaries.
- Maintains regular communication with the Mental Health & psychological delegate and/or Health Coordinator, providing data and programme updates.
- Plans, organizes, and conducts field visits in coordination with the MHPSS delegate and other colleagues.
- Contributes to, develops, and organizes internal or external MHPSS workshops, trainings, and seminars.


Qualifications
- University degree in clinical psychology (minimum 5 years university study).
- Fluent command of English as well as the main local language and Arabic.
- License to practice in his/her own country.
- Computer proficiency.
- 3 to 5 years of overall professional experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience in MHPSS programs.
- Experience in managing teams.
- Red Cross/Red Crescent experience is an asset.
- Clinical and psychosocial support experience.
- Humanitarian experience is an asset.
