Responsibilities
MAIN RESPOSIBILITIES:
A. Community-Based Qualitative Research
•Conduct qualitative research activities, including:
o In-depth interviews.
o Focus group discussions.
o Community consultations.
•Engage diverse participant groups such as:
o Patients with chronic or advanced illness.
o Family members and caregivers.
o Community health workers.
o Healthcare providers.
•Ensure ethical and culturally sensitive engagement with all participants.
•Clearly explain study objectives and obtain informed consent.
•Maintain strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
B. Data Analysis and Reporting:
•Review and organize qualitative data (notes, recordings, transcripts).
•Identify key themes, patterns, and insights.
•Contribute to analysis workshops and reflection sessions with the project team.
•Ensure accurate representation of community perspectives.
•Support preparation of reports, briefs, and presentations.
C. Community Engagement and Co-Design:
•Facilitate and support co-design workshops and participatory sessions.
•Encourage inclusive participation, especially of:
o Women.
o Elderly individuals.
o Vulnerable groups.
•Help translate community feedback into practical and locally feasible solutions.
•Create safe and respectful spaces for dialogue and sharing experiences.
D. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
•Participate in monitoring and evaluation activities.
•Document lessons learned and community feedback.
•Support adaptive improvements to project implementation.
•Contribute to dissemination and community feedback events.
E. Coordination and Reporting:
•Work closely with the Project/Field Coordinator.
•Attend regular meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
•Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and insights.

Qualification and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
o Statistics
o Social Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, etc.)
o Public Health
o Medicine or Health Sciences
o Development Studies or related fields
•Master’s or PhD degree is highly preferred.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and implementing research studies.
•Proven experience in qualitative research methodologies.
•Experience in humanitarian and/or development settings.
•Previous work in community-based or participatory research is a strong asset.
Technical Skills:
•Strong qualitative data collection and analysis skills.
•Excellent communication and active listening skills.
•Ability to work with vulnerable populations in a sensitive and respectful manner.
•Strong organizational and documentation skills.
•Ability to work independently and within a team.
