Responsibilities
Grants and Partnerships Management:

Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with institutional donors, INGOs, UN agencies, and other key stakeholders to expand funding opportunities for SAMS in Syria.
Lead the development of program/project proposals, with a focus on securing medium to large multi-year funding for integrated, sustainable programming.
Establish and oversee a grant management system in alignment with SAMS organizational framework and donor requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for grants-related matters with donor field offices.
Conduct regular coordination meetings with donor field offices and provide updates to the regional office.
Develop and maintain a proposal and report development calendar to ensure timely submissions.
Review grant agreements and advise senior management on donor compliance, policies, and procedures.
Lead the preparation of all grant reports (narrative and financial) and submit them to the regional Senior Grants and Program Development Manager for review at least 72 hours before deadlines.
Develop and oversee the implementation of the annual operational plan for the grants department.
Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Representation
Represent SAMS in relevant forums related to grants, funding, and partnerships, including UNOCHA, donor meetings, and NGO coordination platforms.
Staff management:
- Ensure all project staff have job descriptions and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Develop performance objectives for each staff. Evaluate staff according to SAMS HR policy.
- Develop professional development plans for project staff.
Delegate appropriately.
Build an effective team approach ensuring project staff are working together effectively.
Hold weekly team meetings with project staff for planning purposes, information sharing and problem solving.
Office culture:
Promote and model a positive, professional and respectful office culture.
Initiate team building initiatives.
Ensure effective and positive transition for exiting employees.
Ensure effective internal communications

Qualifications
University Degree of any related field
5 Years of proven track record of raising and managing significant funding from a range of institutional donors such UNFPA, UNCIEF, EU, German donors ECHO, and others through partnerships or directly.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic language is required.

Salary and Benefits
The salary will be defined according to the SAMS salary scale.
