Responsibilities
- Deliver training on MHPSS skills (Psychological First Aid, foundational helping skills, etc) to health workers in supported facilities, community volunteers, and other partners implementing MHPSS activities in the field.
-Coordinate and monitor the progress and quality of MHPSS activities according to project logframe. Provide ongoing field-level coaching and technical feedback to CVs, health workers in the supported health facilities, and partner NGO staff on session delivery and documentation.
-Collaborate with Health team and other sectors, as relevant, to integrate MHPSS components into their activities (e.g., SBC campaigns, stress management sessions), ensuring consistent messaging and appropriate referrals (internally or externally).
-Ensure timely collection, review, and submission of MHPSS session reports, attendance sheets, and pre post assessments.
-Assist in organizing and delivering capacity-building activities, such as PFA, Problem Management+, mhGAP, etc,, including follow-up and evaluation.
-Contribute to developing MHPSS-related tools and materials (e.g., session guides, feedback forms, checklists), in collaboration with relevant Medair technical advisors
-Receive and follow up on MHPSS referrals (internal or external) and document outcomes, coordinating with the Health Manager for complex or escalated cases.
-Participate in coordination meetings and represent the MHPSS team in field-based discussions when delegated.
-Write monthly narrative reports summarizing MHPSS activity progress and weekly reports, challenges, and feedback from the field.
-In coordination with Health Manager and MEAL team, analyse field-level data and draft reports for internal and donor requirements.
-Ensure alignment with Medair’s core values, protection principles, and safeguarding standards throughout all field activities.
Financial Management
-Under the supervision of the Health Manager, prepare PDFs for payment and PRs as needed
Communication and Coordination
-In close coordination with the Health Manager, develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent, and supportive communication structures with the assigned team and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., beneficiaries, community leaders, local authorities) to ensure good cooperation and partnerships.
-Participate in Medair internal trainings and be delegated by the Health manager, meetings as required, representing Medair and feeding back on relevant issues as per the MHPSS manager's request.
Logistics
-Support the logistics activities for the MHPSS component of the project as required.
-Plan and facilitate capacity-building sessions for community volunteers, NGO staff, and health staff in the supported health facilities (e.g., mhGAP, PFA, group facilitation sessions).
Quality Management
-Ensure quality implementation of the MHPSS activities, including through field-level coaching and supportive supervision, in line with Medair, national and international standards.
-Ensure that all standardised formats are used and guidelines are followed
-Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of clients, staff, and agency information
-Ensure that all spaces where activities are implemented meet interagency standards for safe spaces, whether mobile or static
-Support the Health Manager in developing training curricula, supervision tools, and learning materials.

-University degree in psychology, sociology or related human services field
-Over 4 years of relevant post-qualification professional experience
-Experience working in a humanitarian emergency context is preferable
-Excellent English (oral and written), Native Arabic speaker
-Ability to facilitate trainings and MHPSS sessions
-Ability to effectively assess and support persons in crisis
-Ability to provide follow-up and monitoring of people referred for additional services
-Ability to conduct a full assessment of a person’s needs
-Over 4 years of relevant post-qualification professional experience
-Experience working in a humanitarian emergency context is preferable
-Excellent English (oral and written), Native Arabic speaker
