Responsibilities
The Deputy Fleet Maintenance Department Manager supports the management and supervision of fleet maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient operation of vehicles, machinery, and related assets. The role assists in managing garage activities, coordinating maintenance teams, monitoring repair and preventive maintenance processes, and ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and operational standards.
The position acts as a key support role to the Fleet Maintenance Department Manager by supervising daily operations, following up on maintenance activities, coordinating with technical teams and service providers, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Fleet Maintenance Department Manager in managing daily garage and maintenance operations.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians, mechanics, drivers, and supporting maintenance staff.
• Follow up on vehicle inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor vehicle and equipment status and report technical issues, operational risks, and required corrective actions.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are performed according to approved procedures, technical standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and follow up on maintenance work orders.
• Review maintenance records, repair reports, and vehicle service history to ensure proper documentation.
• Support the preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Follow up on spare parts requirements, availability, and usage in coordination with relevant departments.
• Coordinate with external workshops and suppliers regarding repairs and technical services when required.
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment and report findings to management.
• Assist in monitoring maintenance costs and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
• Ensure proper organization and utilization of garage facilities, tools, and technical resources.
• Prepare periodic operational reports and maintenance updates.
• Support the implementation of maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, garage supervision, or a similar technical role.
• Experience in supervising technical teams and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Good knowledge of vehicle systems, repair processes, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience working with institutional, commercial, or large-scale vehicle fleets is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and maintenance reports.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under operational pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with maintenance or fleet management systems is an advantage.
