Responsibilities
- Develop and follow up on project procurement and logistics plans in coordination with Project Managers, Finance, Administration and technical teams, ensuring alignment with approved activities, budgets and timelines.
- Review purchase requests and specifications and coordinate procurement processes in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring fairness, transparency, competition and best value for money.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, support supplier selection, prepare procurement documentation and follow up on purchase orders, contracts and deliveries.
- Conduct appropriate market research and maintain an updated database of suppliers, prices and relevant procurement information.
- Ensure complete and well-organized procurement documentation and audit trails, including requests, quotations, evaluations, approvals, contracts, purchase orders and delivery records.
- Coordinate the transportation and timely distribution of educational materials, equipment, supplies and other project resources to education centres, the ADAP centre and field activities.
- Manage and monitor warehouse operations, stock records, inventory levels, storage conditions and the movement of project supplies, including appropriate tracking of damaged or expired items where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of project assets and equipment, including allocation, movement, maintenance and condition, and support periodic physical verification.
- Coordinate equipment, facility and vehicle maintenance requirements and follow up on repairs and service schedules to ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor logistics performance and identify delays, shortages, risks or operational gaps, providing timely solutions and updates to project management.
- Ensure that procurement and logistics activities comply with HAND policies, donor requirements, applicable procedures and relevant ethical, safeguarding and environmental standards. UNICEF's procurement framework emphasizes integrity, transparency, accountability and responsible supply operations.
- Prepare concise procurement and logistics updates and provide relevant documentation and inputs for project reports, financial reconciliation, audits and donor reviews.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Management or a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain or related functions, preferably with NGOs/INGOs or donor-funded programmes.
- Demonstrated experience in competitive procurement, supplier management, market assessment, contracting, warehousing, inventory and transportation.
- Experience providing logistics support to field-based humanitarian, development or recovery programmes and coordinating supplies across multiple locations is an advantage.
