Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily road construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Oversee earthworks, excavation, backfilling, soil compaction, and subgrade preparation.
- Supervise the construction of subbase, base course, asphalt pavement, curbs, sidewalks, and road shoulders.
- Monitor surveying activities, road alignment, levels, gradients, and layer thicknesses.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards through material inspections and field and laboratory testing.
- Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, consultants, laboratory teams, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor work progress, manpower, equipment, and construction materials to meet project deadlines.
- Supervise stormwater drainage systems and coordinate with utility teams to avoid conflicts with existing services.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
- Prepare daily progress reports, inspection requests, and site documentation, and assist with project handover.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction and civil infrastructure projects.
-Strong knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and technical specifications.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.
-Good knowledge of earthworks, pavement layers, asphalt works, drainage, and utility works.
-Experience in quality control, site inspections, and construction testing.
-Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to effectively supervise contractors, site teams, and daily construction activities.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
-Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
