Responsibilities
• Assess the living conditions, promote general hygiene standards (e.g. housing, use of mosquito nets, water filters, hygiene standards of cooks and cleaners, nutritional advice).
• Evaluate the available medical structures and quality of services provided; identify and monitor services for the referral and treatment of ICRC staff.
• Comply guidelines and procedures to be followed during the medical evacuation of personnel from the field or out of the country.
• Collect accurate and reliable data on illnesses, accidents and absenteeism, with a view to providing statistics on illnesses and the medical risks taken by all staff.
• Review medical invoices for anonymization and approval of medical expenses.
• Keep the medical files of Staff members confidential and medical documents are processed properly.
• Communicate with the local Health Insurance company and follow on interactions with the insurance, when needed.
• Provide advice and support to ICRC staff with health problems.
• Follow up the recruitment medical check-up request and send the results on time.
• Ready and available to respond to medical emergencies and inquiries from the staff 24/7.
• Ready to visit the other structure for support when needed.
