Responsibilities
1. Implement, upgrade and migrate current/new hardware and infrastructure software (such as virtualization software) for existing and new systems.
2. Study, evaluate systems proposed by providers in aspects of backup and storage.
3. Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
4. Develop and perform UNIX Infrastructure administration test plans.
5. Issue hardware related material requests and Bill of Quantity 'BoQ' in coordination with IT Support Center Unit concerned sections, Conduct technical evaluation and participate in hardware inspection.
6. Conduct archiving and backup systems’ operations.
7. Monitor hardware and set alarms to identify problems and analyze system faults.
8. Manage and administer the Storage Area Network (SANs).
9. Perform periodically hardware proactive maintenance to detect and possibly solve problems before they lead to system failures.
10. Perform hardware maintenance in case of hardware failure.
11. Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and back up operations.
12. Maintain technical documentation for all systems, operations and plans.
13. Analyze system failure and backup/recovery, archive operations.
14. Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting related to perform infrastructure Administrators tasks.
15. Participate in design new/existing systems topology.
16. Apply security standards and ensure it is up to date.
17. Check Section & Individual objectives on regular basis and effectively participate in achieving them to ensure successful contribution to company's goals and corporate objectives.
18. Participate in conducting the OJT for new team members and promote a culture of knowledge transfer, cooperation and teamwork.
19. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Syriatel Quality Management System.

Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT Engineering is required.
2. Experience: 2 Years of Unix Administration experience are required.
3. Professional Certification: Operating systems professional Certificate (UNIX) is a must.
Storages Management Professional Certificates / Project Management Professional Certificates / ITIL are plus.
