• Ensure activities comply with AVSI’s Code of Conduct (COC), Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) policies, safeguarding policies, and accountability standards.
• Oversee the effective execution of VT and Life Skills activities, including the registration of beneficiaries.
• Serve as reporting line for field staff (Life skills coaches and VT trainers), conducting daily follow-ups and coordinating weekly or ad-hoc meetings to monitor activity progress, identify challenges, and plan upcoming activities.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to develop, monitor, and update work plans and follow-up documents.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in project implementation, and promptly inform the Project Manager to facilitate the development of mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities, provide feedback, and offer suggestions for future implementation and budget management (lessons learned).
• Act as a focal point for the local partners to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Ensure the implementation of the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) and collaborate with the MEAL department to provide timely and appropriate responses to complaints and feedback.
• Ensure the delivery of means of verification, including photos, beneficiary consent forms, success stories, and case studies.
• Attend relevant sector meetings (e.g., Early Recovery and Livelihood, Food and Agriculture Sectors) and report to the Programs Coordinator on key developments and outcomes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the dignity and privacy of participants throughout all interventions, ensuring compliance with AVSI’s protection mainstreaming principles.
• Support additional tasks as needed based on project requirements, such as data entry on Activity Info.

At least 2-3 years of experience in livelihood and food security in complex humanitarian settings, particularly Syria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively and liaise with local partners.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
• Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data entry systems such as Activity Info.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively and liaise with local partners.
