Responsibilities
Based on its commitment and policies, AKDN agencies design their programs/projects based on the needs of the target communities. Within this context, the AKF, Syria seeks to contract with Trainers (Service Providers) to its offices in Salamieh, Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, As-Suwayda, and Tartous for a maximum of three months.

SUMMARY:

The Trainer (Service Provider) is responsible for creating and developing training curricula for beneficiaries as well as for evaluating the training needs of individuals, preparing presentations and teaching materials, ensuring trainee safety, and conducting feedback surveys to assess the effectiveness of the training conducted. The Trainer will work closely with the Project Officer/Assistant.

The fields of training required are; including but are not limited to:

Soft Skills.

Managerial skills and Business Administration.

Early Childhood Development.

Entrepreneurship

Education (Math, Recycling, English, and PSS).

Value Chain Management and Research.

Women Empowerment (Women in Leadership).

Work and Enterprise/Microenterprises Project Management.

IT (Computer Skills, Software skills, and Programming)

Environmental Techniques and Procedures.

Economic (Accounting, Economic Feasibility Study and Trade and Sales).

Civil Engineer (irrigation and Drainage).

English skills.

Emergency Response (First Aid - Firefighting).

Renewable Energy/Solar Energy.

Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).

Social Planning and Social Development:
- Governance.
- Proposal Writing.
- Conflict Resolution.
- Communication.

Agriculture:
- Farming Techniques.
- Animal Production/Husbandry Techniques (Camel, Fish, Sheep, small poultry).
- Veterinarian.
- Food science.
- Agriculture Economics

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide a structured and comprehensive curriculum tailored to the specific needs of trainees.
• Prepare presentations, handouts, and learning materials.
• Deliver dynamic and engaging training sessions that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Utilize interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make lessons relevant and interesting.
• Design and implement effective assessment tools to gauge the progress of beneficiaries.
• Foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive learning environment, recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds of trainees.
• In cooperation with the Project Officer, ensure compliance with the AKF’s standards, policies, and procedures during training sessions.


Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (relevant to the scoop of training; IT, Business Administration, Social Science, Agriculture, Education, Environment and Renewable Energy..etc.)
• Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a relevant training field.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Creative and problem-solving skills and effective interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of different teaching and training methodologies and willingness to keep well-informed of new training techniques.
• Fluent English is required for specific fields (English and IT)
• The ability to execute lessons in a meaningful, motivating, and engaging manner.
• Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning method is an asset.
