Responsibilities
• Develop individual operating plans that align with departmental priorities and designated activities for the MEAL Assistant.
• Assist in the pre-testing processes by implementing tools and providing feedback on their usability.
• Attend regular coordination meetings at the base level.
• Collaborate with the MEAL Officer to create a comprehensive plan for field visits for the month/week.
• Conduct field monitoring visits using on-site monitoring checklists.
• Input relevant data into the KOBO system.
• Draft initial findings report for review and validation by the MEAL Officer.
• Support the MEAL Officer in data collection for various assessments, including Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), satisfaction surveys, and outcome-level evaluations.
• Support the MEAL Officer in collecting, registering, processing, and responding to feedback and complaints received at the base office.
• Assist in launching the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) for new activities, including awareness sessions about the mechanism for the targeted community.
• Help the MEAL Officer generate CFM-related data tabulations and reports.
• Support the MEAL Officer in gathering and disseminating lessons learned from fieldwork.
• Support the collection of success stories and case studies that enhance project learning.
• Assist the MEAL Officer with monthly indicator tracking by verifying project data and counting beneficiaries.
• Support the MEAL Officer in analyzing various assessment data and reporting on deliverables as needed.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in social fields or relevant major (ie: Economics, Management, social sciences, statistics, international development).
- Minimum of one year of experience with MEAL, and one year with INGOs/UN.
• Demanded soft skills:
- Initiative to solve problems
- Able to work in a team
- Attention to details
- Follow up and ability to monitor on daily basis
- Sufficient skills in written and oral communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility

• Demanded technical skills:
- Good knowledge in planning
- Good knowledge in data collection methods and analysis
- Good knowledge in Computer literacy


Salary and Benefits
- Salary will be established according to GVC salary scale.

Gruppo di Volontariato Civile, GVC - a non-governmental, and independent organization, founded in 1971 in Bologna (Italy).
Since its foundation, GVC is active in international development aid projects, humanitarian aid to populations suffering from conflicts and natural disasters to reconstruction, hygiene, and food security; from rural development to education, to the protection of women's and children's rights.
