Responsibilities
General Role:
The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU)/ Stabilization Organization is seeking to recruit a Camp Operations Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the overall operational and administrative activities within Aq Burhan Camp. The position is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of camp operations, strengthening coordination among departments and stakeholders, and maintaining a safe, organized, and service-oriented environment for camp residents.
The role contributes to improving operational efficiency, enhancing coordination with authorities and humanitarian actors, supporting community participation, and ensuring that camp services are delivered in accordance with humanitarian standards, organizational policies, and protection principles. The Camp Operations Coordinator will work closely with camp teams, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders to ensure continuity of services and timely response to operational challenges and emergencies.
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Duty Station: Aq Burhan Camp

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Supervising the overall management of administrative and operational activities within the camp in alignment with the services and activities provided, ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of all activities and services according to approved plans.
2. Maintain ongoing coordination with official authorities, including DoSAL, NGOs/INGOs, and security agencies, to ensure a safe and stable environment within the camp.
3. Follow up on and document administrative procedures related to the DoSAL within the camp, ensuring their organization and filing in accordance with SOPs (attendance schedules, policy compliance, tasks, and responsibilities).
4. Supervise the management of Camp FPs as well as ORVs based in the camp, monitor their work and workflow, and assign tasks to regulate entry and exit while enhancing safety and security.
5. Coordinate with partner organizations and service providers within the camp to ensure the delivery of integrated, high-quality services to the population.
6. Ensure the establishment and activation of community representation mechanisms within the camp to enhance residents' participation in decision-making and service improvement, while verifying that all camp residents have fair, safe, and non-discriminatory access to services and facilities.
7. Manage available camp resources, including equipment, and ensure their optimal use according to priorities in coordination with project management.
8. Monitor daily workflow in all camp departments and ensure effective coordination among them to prevent any conflicts or performance gaps.
9. Provide necessary information to camp residents regarding their rights and duties, and promote community awareness of applicable laws and regulations.
10. Ensure the implementation of approved operational policies and procedures within the camp, adherence to the code of conduct and ethical standards, and promote the principles of integrity and transparency in all camp activities.
11. Prepare periodic reports and share them with the Project Manager, develop immediate response plans for emergencies and crises within the camp, and make appropriate decisions to ensure the safety of residents.
12. Ensure confidentiality and privacy in handling beneficiary data and manage their records securely, while ensuring that all team members comply with this.
13. Perform any additional tasks related to the nature of work as assigned by direct management, and ensure their follow-up and implementation in accordance with professional standards.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Humanitarian Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in camp management, humanitarian operations, field coordination, or emergency response programs.
- Previous experience working in displacement camps or with NGOs/INGOs is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills.
- Good understanding of humanitarian principles, protection standards, accountability, and camp coordination mechanisms.
- Strong organizational, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage operations in challenging field environments.
- Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Fluency in Arabic is required; basic English skills are preferred.
